As founder of Thomas Building, Alan works with clients, developers and stakeholders alike. Under Alan’s leadership and many years at the helm, the business has successfully grown to become a recognised name both in Perth Metropolitan area and in the regions of Western Australia.

Jaco van Staden is a seasoned General Manager and construction professional with extensive experience in residential, commercial, and industrial property development across Australia and South Africa, including remote WA. His leadership and employee engagement skills foster a healthy business culture and continuous improvement.

Jaco excels in strategic business planning, identifying opportunities, positioning teams, and recognising growth areas. His commercial acumen captures opportunities through strategic analysis and negotiation, building strong, honest relationships. With a proven track record in project delivery, Jaco ensures quality projects are completed on time and on budget. He is committed to HSEQ best practices, leading by example to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Jason Strange

Regional Operations Manager

With over 25 years in construction, Jason Strange brings extensive experience to Thomas Building. He has worked closely with Alan and Greg on numerous North West WA projects, including housing, schools, and shopping centres.

Jason’s deep understanding of North West challenges and his strong client relationships are invaluable. As North West Area Manager, he oversees early project design, manages construction teams, and ensures successful project delivery. His hands-on approach and dedication drive our success in the region.
